Apple technology giant plans to use different OLED panel values for the upcoming iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, the media report said.
According to Theelec, the Samsung screen will apply various levels of material on the OLED panel that will be produced for the upcoming iPhone 14 series depending on the model level.
This will use the latest and most sophisticated material set for a higher iPhone 14 model, while it will use the previous generation set for the lower. This step is taken to save costs.
Samsung’s display will supply OLED panels for all four iPhone 14 series models; The LG rival display will supply for two models, quoting the source, the report said.
OLED material set consists of dopan, host, prime and others used to form red, green and blue pixels.
Samsung Display calls the set of materials used in Samsung Galaxy and Apple M. iPhone series.
South Korea’s display maker uses his LT set in 2017 for Apple’s first iphone OLED, iPhone X and in 2018 iPhone XS. But starting in 2019 began using the M series for panels provided for smartphones and iPhone Galaxy.
Samsung’s display will use the M11 material set for the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch standard model in the iPhone 14 series.
This telephone will have a low-temperature OLED-Film-Philm-Film-Philm-Film (TFT), which is less sophisticated than the Low TFT OLED polyticino ined panel (LTPO) TFT OLED used in a higher level model.
Two high -level models in the iPhone 14 series will use the Samsung Display M12 material set.
The same OLED material set is used for OLED panels on the upcoming Samsung Folding Cellphone Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.
