Marriage bill sent to standing committee as Lok Sabha MPs oppose amendment

Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said the public authority didn’t counsel any of the partners prior to presenting the revision and proposed the bill be shipped off the standing council.

 Association serve for ladies and kid improvement Smriti Irani on Tuesday said the public authority suggested the Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2021, in the Lok Sabha be shipped off a standing board of trustees. The altered bill proposes to build the time of marriage of ladies from 18 to 21 years

 Presenting the correction bill in the lower House of Parliament, Irani prior said, “I might want to introduce that ladies balance in our nation should be found (as far as) period of marriage. Conjuring diverse marriage laws of various beliefs, I ascend to present the change bill.”

In any case, resistance pioneers, including Congress’ Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Gaurav Gogoi, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, Trinamool Congress’ Saugata Roy mentioned their criticisms regarding the bill.

Chowdhury said the public authority didn’t counsel any of the partners prior to presenting the correction and recommended the bill be shipped off the standing advisory group.

Expressing that this is the second or third time that the public authority is forcefully acquiring a bill without talking with the resistance, NCP MP Supriya Sule the previous isn’t in any event, adhering to the business warning board.
