Oracle Corp has begun to dismiss employees in the United States, the information said on Monday, quoting someone with direct knowledge of the problem.
Publications in July reported that Oracle was considering cutting thousands of jobs in his global labor after targeting cost cutting up to $ 1 billion.
The company has around 143,000 full employees on May 31, according to its latest annual report.
Layoffs in Oracle will affect employees in his office in the San Francisco Bay Area, said the Monday report, but did not mention the number of employees affected.
Oracle did not immediately respond to Reuters’ comments requests.
The report also said layoffs in Canada, India and Europe were expected in a few weeks and months.
The technology giant Microsoft Corp, Alphabet Inc. and Apple Inc. have also discussed slaughtering or slowing in the recruitment plan in responding to the increase in costs and concerns of recession.
